The Policy Research & Development Group will concentrate on developing research into the use of stone as a sustainable material. The Group will also look at the wider building maintenance issue and highlight the importance of using appropriate materials to maintain the stone built environment. The Group will also endeavour to raise awareness of the issues surrounding Scottish stone and slate production through the media and through partnership working with like minded bodies.
