Mission statement: The aim of the Scottish Stone Liaison Group is to enhance availability, promote utilisation and advance knowledge and skills in design, specification and use of indigenous Scottish stone in existing and new build projects.
The Scottish Stone Liaison Group, until the 22nd May 2000, operated under the auspices of Historic Scotland, but on that date it was launched as a Company Limited by Guarantee by Rhona Brankin MSP, then Deputy Minister for Culture and Sport. The membership of the Group remained the same, comprising many sectors interested and involved in providing services to meet the needs of Scotland's built heritage.
