The Policy Research & Development Group aims to promote the use of Scottish stone as a sustainable building material.
The group commissions and undertakes research with partners to investigate the environment and social cost of importing stone for use in Scotland.
We also work with local authorities, major developers, Architecture and Design in Scotland and other partners to promote the use of Scottish stone in new construction and encourage its application as a building material in innovative design projects.
